Welcome to the inaugural Burnout Masters grand final shootout at Sydney Dragway featuring the world’s toughest tread-shredding beasts. It’s the new burnout frontier with a legendary reputation. Outlaws are coming from around the globe to stake their claim to the world-famous title of “Burnout Master”. Here’s your quickdraw guide to this wild horsepower party!
All approved competitors will have one shot at qualifying for a grand final rodeo. Only 10 positions will be available. (Additional spots may be awarded at the judges’ discretion.)
Another 10 cars who’ve earned their places via top performances throughout the previous 12 months, or who possess x-factor wild card potential, will be primed and ready to meet you. (Additional spots may be awarded prior to event commencement.)
These two groups will be combined and compete in an overall Top 20 showdown. The winning driver of this epic battle will be crowned the 2025 Burnout Master. They’ll ride into the sunset with a fistful of dollars, an heirloom trophy and their car will shoot into the world famous Burnout Masters Game.
The SKID SALOON will also allow competitors to pump double barrelled adrenaline shots of tread action.

Burnout Masters Burnanza at Sydney Dragway is sanctioned by IRHA. This means Burnanza operates under Sydney Dragway venue policies safety and competition regulations. Any vehicle participating in any driving events will be scrutineered in accordance with Sydney
Dragway standards and Supplementary Track Regulations.

We’re all good-natured partners on this here ranch. The only rowdy stuff we want to see is on the burnout pad. Follow these simple tips and we’ll all get along just fine.
We’re all here for a rip-roarin’ time. Please do not arrive cocked and loaded. Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated. Settle any personal scores elsewhere and leave bad attitudes in the jailhouse.
This is a one day event and onsite overnight camping is unavailable. So plan ahead and be prepared to move your carts and wagons when the sun sets on this show. Plenty of accommodation is located nearby, but take heed, it will fill up fast!
Burnanza is the Burnout Masters grand finale event that’s an “all-in” pro burnout championship contest. However, your car will be scrutineered and classified into a relevant class category for judging and administration purposes.
This category is for purpose-built high-end blown burnout vehicles.
It includes vehicles with any number of cylinders that are fitted with an aftermarket supercharger or turbocharger.
No naturally aspirated vehicles.
Nitrous is not permitted.
Open to Petrol, Ethanol or Methanol.
This category includes vehicles with any number of cylinders that are naturally aspirated and vehicles fitted with an OEM supercharger or turbocharger.
It also includes street cars with minimal external engine or induction components to be visible out of the bonnet.
Nitrous is not permitted.
Open to Petrol, Ethanol or Methanol.
Drivers and passengers (where applicable) of all Blown and Methanol cars must wear a fire suit. No exceptions.
It is highly recommended other drivers and passengers (where applicable) wear a Fire Suit of a suitable level. Fire Suit 3-2A/5 minimum.
It is recommended that drivers and passengers (where applicable) wear gloves and boots meeting 3.3/5 standard.
Helmets must meet the following standards as a MINIMUM: • AS/NZS 1698:2006 • ECE R22 05
All other clothing must be of a fire-resistant material as a minimum. Absolutely no nylon. Long pants, long-sleeve shirt, enclosed shoes or boots.
NOTE: sleeves must be down before, during and after the burnout until the car is parked and turned off.
Helmets and seat belts must also remain correctly fastened until the conclusion of the burnout.
This is the Burnout Masters big dance. It’s a full day of burnouts and there ain’t no time for pussyfootin’ around!
Gates will open at 6 am. A mandatory drivers briefing will commence at 8 am.
All competitors will be allocated into groups and notified before competition commences.
Please remember your group number and listen carefully to all pit announcements for staging instructions throughout the day.
If you miss your group session, your horse may have bolted and you could lose your chance to compete. Communicate with track staff and stewards if you see an issue on the horizon.
